How do we reduce photos before putting onto our wiki?
  • Right click on the photo, open with Microsoft Picture Manager, Edit Pictures (on top toolbar), Compress Pictures(right hand toolbar), for Web pages, OK. A good idea at this point is to SAVE AS - rename the file as compressed and SAVE. (Then if you still want the larger version for using on a data show, it will not be blurry and out of focus.) Use the compressed version for uploading to your wiki. At that point you may add a caption (which will not show until you save the page).

How do we upload videos to our wiki?
  • For video files, upload your video to Youtube, Teachertube, Schooltube etc, and get the embed code. Use the embed widget, Go down to OTHER .... and proceeed as directed. (If you do not have a TeacherTube account, join up free!) Remember if you make the video private, you will be the only one able to view it, so you need to make it public.
